The ghost's words couldn't dampen Vasco's good mood at his sudden turn of fortune. Yes, four would be plenty for a small group. Five? Was that ghost interested? At least they'd have someone to come back and tell others if they got into trouble.
"Of course we won't get killed. We're going from morning to midday, the safest time to go out into the woods. It's not like I'm asking you to go on a night expedition!" Yet. "Could we have your name, maybe, my lady?"
Vasco took some time to size up his new teammates. The centaur would definitely come in handy. He wasn't too sure about Enoch, yet, but he wasn't in a position to be choosy right now. The ghost... "Are you coming along too, er... miss?"

Enoch crouched beside the lioness, meeting her golden eyes with his sharp edged teal ones. Though he appeared very naive, a calm sense of wisdom flowed from him. "Aww, come on, what's the worst that could happen?" And statements like that ruined the illusion.

Lindiwe tried not to let the ghost's comment get to her, but it disturbed her on a deep level. She tried to shrug it off and squinted at Vasco. Wait, did he seriously just say "my lady"? her eye twitched at the thought. She stuck out her hand stiffly toward Vasco, "Lindiwe Nnamani. No, you may not call me Lindy." She was sure she'd come to regret this, especially after Enoch's comment. She couldn't tell if he was joking or just that stupid. She sighed. What had she gotten herself into?

Kasumi bobs up and down slightly in the air, staring at Vasco unblinking. She then gives a slow single nod and shrugs her shoulders "I will come. Better than watching the night owls sleep in." She says this as nonchalantly as possible. Ghosts girls gonna ghost.

Vasco nodded. "Glad to meet you, then, Lindiwe. Not to worry, we'll have Enoch with us, and another friend of mine coming along. And what's your name, miss ghost?"
He started pacing again, more excitedly, gesturing with his hands. The hunt was on, after all! "Okay, we'll meet around dawn at the edge of the Wildlands on Thursday. I'll provide us all with food, unless anyone wants to bring their own."

Enoch chuckled at Vasco pleasantly. "And now you're tempting us with free food? Is there any downside to this?" He adjusted the bag slung across his shoulders and nodded confidently. "I'll be there. Don't get caught by any professors, hehe." He glanced to the side at Lindiwe, giving her a strangely pointed stare. It lasted for only a second, before he gazed back at Vasco.

Lindiwe frowned at Vasco and the ghost, but nodded in agreement. "Fine," she agreed warily, "But you should know I'm allergic to bananas." She doubted he would bring adequate supplies and made a mental note to pack her own, which would include a fully-stocked first aid kit. Her mother always told her she over-prepared, but better that than under-prepared. Enoch turned and shared a look with her, and she was caught off-guard by the seriousness in it. Her mouth fell agape slightly, but she quickly nodded at him. Her head only moved a fraction of an inch, she wasn't sure if he saw or not. Still, perhaps he wasn't as daft as he'd been acting. She would have to keep an eye on him.

"Kasumi I think." The ghosts introduces herself in her usual flat, melancholy tone. If she had the capacity for true excitement, it would be there. But instead she forces and overly toothy, creepy smile, and tries to recall a vague sense of adventure.

"Great, Kasumi, and noted, Lindiwe," Vasco nodded, repeating everyone's names to make sure he would remember in the morning. "See you all then?" He took steps back, to show he was ready to leave and finalize his plans for their excursion.

Enoch smiled brightly at Vasco, "I look forward to it. Have a good day, everyone." He turned to leave on his heel, a grim expression swallowing it as soon as his back was turned. His upper eyes were narrowed in concentration while his lower ones quivered. Something isn't right about that man.

"Fine," Lindiwe said curtly, "I'll see you all on Thursday." She turned to head back to her dorm. So much for getting ahead in my studies, she thought. She marched back to her room, determined to be prepared for anything they might find out there. She had a lot of packing to do.
