Fern growled, "Does it look like I want it?" And then promptly took the apple anyway. You'd probably have to BE psychic to figure her out! "I'm... uh, I'm not going anywhere," Fern said, shifting her weight to be more balanced and stable. She wasn't going to back down, now that she felt a challenge coming on. She'd show this kid a GRR personality.

Ciar felt electricity in the air, it seemed like the two of them were itching for a fight. He felt a mutual feeling of exasperation from the long-haired twin and considered asking her advice on how to alleviate the situation. The idea of using the excuse of 'we're holding up the line!' passed by his mind, but was shot down as they appeared to be the only ones in this line. He flinched when Fern snatched the apple away, not expecting her to actually take it. "I-I'm sure she didn't mean it..."

"Anyways," Alex chimed. "Let's go take a seat." Zoey sighed and bit her tongue while Alex continued on her way to buying some of the snacks and heading toward the kitchen area. "I can tell this will continue to go down hill pretty quickly," she mumbled to herself, looking over at Ciar for a second and then following Alex. "So about your friend," Alex continued. "We'll meet eventually anyways, if he doesn't show up."

Fern bit down into "her" apple as she followed the twins. She was a little confused by this talk of a friend that hadn't shown up yet, and was fairly on guard from these two so-called psychics. But, just to be snide, she pretended to squash Alex's head from behind with her thumb and pointer finger.
There was a nice table without anyone sitting at it, yet. Fern figured her new acquaintances would probably have sat with her anyway if she had tried to sit alone, since it was fairly crowded this time of day.

Ciar squinting at Alex, a confused expression clouding his pale face. He also noticed Fern squishing her head with her fingertips and bit back a quiet laughter, recognizing a similar emotion from her. He spotted the table they were approaching and sat down. "What 'friend' are you talking about?" He bit back the impulse of saying that he didn't have friends, knowing this would not be a good situation to say something like that. Instead, he said it in a roundabout way. "I just transferred here, I don't know a lot of people yet..." He took a long swig of the water bottle on his grape-colored cafeteria tray, which helped to clear his mind a bit.
