Introductory RP (Stuff from Facebook)

(OOC: This was what we had going on facebook before the forum became a thing. Thought I would post it to give you guys a starting point ish. I'm also going to close this as it's already finished.)

Lav: Kai Wakefield was a shit student. He knew this already. Despite this, something in him was begging to return to a shit university where he could continue being a shit student. He sighed, looking up at the main entrance in front of him with wary green eyes. It was a fantastic sight, the stone stairs leading into a pillared facade. Dragon statues stood perched on either side, their faces proud and regal. He took one last look behind him at the forest-laden road that spoke of freedom. The bell tower lying somewhere inside the courtyard gonged and Kai shook his head. "Damnit." He mumbled, hiking his leather backpack into a better position and started to walk to class.

Jess: Aleksander stares at his map of the school as he walks around the school he's very new to. He tried using his magical intuition to figure out where he was going. He was kidding himself, though. He was awful at Magic. He tucks a tuft of his freshly cut hair behind his slightly pointed ears and tries to breathe, despite the bandages wrapped around his chest. Since he wasn't paying attention to where he's going he runs into someone definitely larger and sturdier than him. "Hey watch where you're going-!" He looks at Kai and sees that he's definitely not going to win in a fight with him. He looks away, not taking back what he rudely said.

Faunry: Vierro was perched at the base of the dragon statues, his arms at his sides and wings draped over the edge of the concrete wall. He had no bag, no pencils or paper. He was one of those students, occasionally attending classes and sitting in the back, rocking in his chair or asleep with his face on the desk or lecture hall tables. No one ever sat near him, most likely because his wingspan took up a good extra seat on either side of him, not his fault, of course.
Golden eyes scanned students as they passed and he cleared his throat and watched any attractive female walk by. He heard the nearby ruckus and turned to see a small boy run into another. "Tch... elves." he scoffed and kept his gaze on the two.

Riley: Nachti quickly rushes towards them, running late for his class. He is holding an iced drink in one hand while his other is clutching a messenger bag to his side. As he attempts to pass by the group, he also bumps into Kai, not noticing him due to his taller height, and spills his drink onto him.

Lav: Kai stumbled, falling against the stairs with iced coffee spilling onto him. He yelped as the cold seeped into his jacket, a shiver running down his spine. "What the HELL?" He struggles to right himself, gritting his teeth at the both of them. "Watch where I'M going?!" He catches himself, pausing to sling his backpack off his shoulder and glance inside. Some of the tension leaves his face, but his eyebrows twitch angrily.

Jess: Alek grabs the map that fell from his hands and turns a bright shade of red. He grabs his back pack and tosses some napkins at Kai. "Dab the coffee on your shirt." He prays his voice isn't obviously high. He gives Nachti a look, wondering if he plans on apologizing in any way.

Faunry: Vierro let's out a sharp laugh as the events unfold in front of him. He hops from the wall landing with one foot on two different steps. He takes a few long strides toward the commotion and ends up looming above the others. "Leave it to some elves and an animal to fuck up on their first day to classes." He positions himself behind the cluster and rests his arms on the shoulders of Alex and Kai bringing all three of the boys closer together (assuming nachti is kinda in the middle?? Idk he brings them into a huddle since he's bigger than all of them??) Flashing a grin of sharp teeth down at them he says "now why don't you boys all apologize to each other."

Riley: Nachti shoves Vierro away from himself and brushes off invisible dust from himself. "Now why don't you never touch me again, filthy trash. " he glares slightly at him and adjusts his bag on his shoulder. When he looks down at his watch, Nachti realizes the time and breaks into a sprint again "Later, losers."

Lav: Kai snatches the napkins, murmuring something akin to a thank you and wipes them on his backpack. He growls at the dragon student, despite being a good head below him. "Leave it to a dragon to be a hideous waste of space," he spat, eyeing the man's red horns and wings warily. Kai stared after the foreign-looking man and knew that it wasn't worth chasing after him. "Go piss on some gold." He muttered, crumpling the napkins up and beginning to walk away.

Jess: "Wait, hey!" Alek chases after him. "I'm lost! You look like you've been here before. Could you tell me what direction I need to go?" He holds out the map and points to a spot on it, and It just happens to be almost exactly where Kai is heading. He looks at him with large, pale blue eyes, obviously more scared than his asshole-ish comment had let on.

Faunry: Vierro grunts as Nachti shoves him away and glares at the group of boys. "Fuck, I'm not wasting my time with you kids anymore." He takes a few steps back before turning and trudging away. He hacks a wad of spit to the side and shoves his hands in his pockets, leaving the boys be.. for now.

Meanwhile, another elf boy paced quickly towards the university's entrance. Wearing a black cape (poncho type thing lmao idk i still need to finish designing it) that stopped just at his thighs it was impossible to make out what he looked like underneath, though scrawny legs covered by leggings and tall boots carried him over the grass to the sidewalk. He reached a hand out from under his cape and adjusted the monocle that fit just over his right eye. (surprise i feel like giving him a monocle bc he's a fuckn nerd) "Oh no, oh no.." he muttered to himself analyzing his surroundings in a jolted fashion. He spotted a boy up ahead holding a map. "Ah, ah yes.." he shuffled up behind him, "P-pardon me, may I take a quick peek at your map there? I'm lost myself, ahhaa," his irregularly long ears drooped as he, interestingly enough, had control over their movements unlike most elves. "I'm looking for the Nature Sciences building, do any of you know your way around here?" His glance shifted between the other boys, waiting for a response.

Lav: Kai sighed, rubbing his forehead in frustration at the strangers and the new-comer. He eyed at the cape-wearing elf noncommittally, humming in response. He faintly acknowledged that the first class he had was apparently with the first man who ran into him. "Elemental magic 1 is this way, just follow me I guess." The bell gonged again, signalling it was only five minutes until the courses began.

Jess: He looks at the new elf. "The class we're going to is in that building." He looks back at Kai. "...do you need something else to wear? Your shirt is kind of..." He's like it's hella stained.

Lav: Kai opened his mouth to respond, but instead of his voice, a muffled and drawn out 'meow' sounded. Immediately, his face scrunched red with embarrassment. He clutched his bag closer to him, his green eyes growing wide and defensive. "U-Uh..."

Jess: Alek's eyes grow wide as well. "Do you have a cat with you?" He gets a little too excited and his voice raises considerably, sounding very feminine. He clears his throat and looks away.

Faunry: Ramiro ears perked at any sound of animal, though he was particularly fond of cats. "A feline, you say? Oh, I have a few of my own as well, though only one with me today," he chuckled and reached under his cap and into his satchel, pulling out a rather small feline skull. "My Emby (idk potential cat name or change later it's late lmao) just had a litter, but this little one didn't make it, poor thing." He cupped the tiny skull in his hands and frowned before placing it back in his bag.

Lav: Kai shrunk at the sight of the skull, a shiver running down his spine at the empty sockets. 'This guy skins cats, Jesus Christ...' He thought to himself, his ears wilting as he hugged the bag even closer. "I-I-I u-uh, it's nothing, it was just my text alert!" This would have been a more convincing statement if his backpack didn't move in response to his tight clutch. Another shrill meow sounded and he gave a defeated, embarrassed glance to the side. "Look, I'm not allowed to have pets in my dorm. The only place I could get in was Fulbright. I'm sneaking her in."

Jess: "That's so sweet of you!!" Alek had thought that the boy seemed rather rough and rude, but if he was sneaking in a pet cat he couldn't be that bad. "I wish I had a cat..." He fiddles with the sleeves on his hoodie and looks sad.

Faunry: Ramiro looked down at the boy, smiled and nodded once, "I do what i can to preserve their memory." He then looked to the seemingly frightened boy then down at his bag. "Ahh, well that's kind of you, to do what you can for a friend. I used to live in Fulbright, but it was hard to.. uhh. keep things hidden from weekly inspection... heh." he scratched his temple. "I was able to move to Greenwich Hall this year, luckily... are you both first years?"

Lav: "He's not really my familiar, we're both strays so to speak." Kai responded, relaxing a fraction, but his face turned ghostly at the word 'inspection'. He looked over the caped elf jealously, as Greenwich was notorious for allowing familiars and nefarious activities to take place under minimal surveillance. It was costly. He nodded dimly to his question. "My name's Kai. Barely got into this prissy school."

Jess: He nods in response to the question. "Everyone in my family has gone here... Luckily I don't live far, so I'm living at home still." He stares at kai 's bag. "I've always wanted a cat. What's your cats name?"

Faunry: Ramiro nods as they both reply. "My name is Ramiro, nice to meet you both." He curiously looks at Kai's bag as well. "Ah, and what breed?" He raises a hand out from below his cape to his chin and taps gently as he waits for a response.

Lav: Kai tentatively opened the flap on his backpack and a black furry head poked out. Wide yellow eyes stared at the two elves curiously. "Her name is Fae. She's just a black cat, I guess." He blushed at all the sudden attention. The late bell suddenly gonged, shocking him out of his stupor. "Oops."

Jess: Alek looks awestruck by the cat, then suddenly panicked by the sound of the bell. "Shit we should get going." He starts walking faster to urge the others to do so as well.

Faunry: "Ohh, she's a-" Ramiro's whole body spasmed at the loud bell. He shuffled his feet quicker, though with his height, he didn't have to try very hard to step just ahead of Alek.

Lav: Kai mumbled something like, "figures I'd be late on the first day." He carefully slung his bag back over his shoulder. Taking one look back at the two he'd bumped into, he nodded politely (as politely as Kai can be) and took off sprinting down the pillared walkway.
